Direct Cremation:
Our funeral home specializes in direct cremation services throughout Anna Maria Island — including Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach — and all of Manatee County. It is a straightforward, dignified, and affordable option that doesn't compromise on the care your loved one deserves. Our crematory is located in Palmetto, just across the causeway, and your loved one stays in our care throughout the entire process. Many other providers contract cremations out to a third-party facility - we never do.

Direct cremation is our most popular service, but we offer much more. Families who want a private moment before cremation can choose our Simple Cremation with Private Family Goodbye package - a 30-minute intimate viewing at our Palmetto facility for up to 10 family members. Families of U.S. military veterans can choose from our Veteran Cremation Packages, which include VA coordination, national cemetery scheduling, and military honors. How It Works
Contact Us: Call (941) 212-1093 and select option 1 for immediate care of your loved one. Our owners live on the island and our team understands the logistics of responding to Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach quickly and with care. Documentation and Permits: We handle all required paperwork and permits at no extra charge — including filing the death certificate with the Florida Department of Health, obtaining the state disposition permit, and coordinating Manatee County Medical Examiner approval. We include 1 Certified Death Certificate with this package; additional copies are $12 per copy. Use our online arrangement form to provide death certificate information and select services.
Collection and Care: Our professional team will respectfully collect your loved one from anywhere on Anna Maria Island — Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, or Bradenton Beach — and provide the necessary care in our climate-controlled facility in Palmetto throughout the process.
Cremation: Your loved one will be cremated at our family-owned and operated crematory at 2000 14th Ave E, Unit 104, Palmetto, FL, adhering to the highest standards of care and Florida state regulations. Cremation is scheduled only after we have received a signed Cremation Authorization from all legal next of kin, the state permit, Medical Examiner approval, and payment. Cremation is generally completed within 10–12 business days from receipt of all required authorizations and approvals.
Return of Cremated Remains: Cremated remains are returned in the basic polymer urn included with the package, available for pickup at our crematory in Palmetto. If pickup is not convenient, local delivery within 50 miles is available for $125 — including delivery back to the island. Shipping within Florida is available for $125 or other US States for $225 via USPS Priority Mail Express.
Payment: A Statement of Goods and Services will be provided for review and signature via Adobe Sign or in person. Payment is accepted by credit/debit card, e-check, cash, or personal check, and is expected prior to cremation.

Simple cremation is our most popular option, but it is far from our only one. We offer a full range of services to meet the needs of every family on the island and throughout Manatee County:
Direct Cremation Packages — Simple ($945), Expedited ($1,245), and Premium ($1,395) options, each with clearly defined inclusions and no hidden fees. Our Premium package adds 6 death certificates, obituary assistance, a premium urn, and local delivery.
Simple Cremation with Private Family Goodbye — For families who want one last private moment before cremation. Includes a 30-minute viewing for up to 10 family members at our facility prior to cremation, starting at $1,495.
Veteran Cremation Packages — Specialized packages for U.S. military veterans starting at $1,145, including coordination with the Veterans National Scheduling Office, delivery of cremated remains to Sarasota National Cemetery or Bay Pines National Cemetery, and assistance obtaining military honors.

Serving Anna Maria Island — Local Information for Families
Anna Maria, Holmes Beach & Bradenton Beach Anna Maria Island is a seven-mile barrier island in Manatee County comprising three distinct communities — the City of Anna Maria at the northern tip, Holmes Beach in the center, and Bradenton Beach at the southern end. We serve all three communities with the same personal care and transparent pricing. Whether your loved one passed away in a home on Pine Avenue, a condo in Holmes Beach, or a beachfront property in Bradenton Beach, we will come to you.
Medical Examiner Fee Deaths occurring anywhere on Anna Maria Island are in Manatee County and carry a Medical Examiner fee of $35, required by Florida law before any cremation can proceed. This fee is set by the county and passed through to families at cost — we do not mark it up.
Hospice Care on Anna Maria Island We work closely with hospice providers serving the island and surrounding Manatee County, including Tidewell Hospice, Suncoast Hospice, and Empath Health. If your loved one is under hospice care, notify your hospice representative at the time of death and let them know you will be using AM Cremation & Funeral Care. The hospice nurse will coordinate the release of your loved one into our care.
Care Facilities & Medical Response Many Anna Maria Island residents receive care at Manatee Memorial Hospital or Blake Medical Center on the mainland. If your loved one passed away at a care facility, notify them of your provider choice and they will contact us directly. For unexpected or unattended deaths on the island, call 911 first — emergency services will contact us once they are ready to release your loved one.
National Cemetery for Veterans Veterans residing on Anna Maria Island are typically served by Sarasota National Cemetery. Our Veteran Cremation Packages include coordination with the Veterans National Scheduling Office and delivery of cremated remains to Sarasota National Cemetery at no additional charge.
Scattering at Sea For families with deep connections to the Gulf of Mexico — and on Anna Maria Island, that is most families — scattering at sea is a profoundly meaningful tribute. The Gulf waters surrounding the island, from Bean Point at the northern tip to Coquina Beach at the south, hold memories for generations of island residents and visitors. We offer an unattended scattering at sea service performed by a licensed funeral director for $225, including a certificate noting the date, time, and GPS coordinates of the scattering.
